A small, personal flower studio rooted in the belief that a beautiful arrangement changes the feeling of a room, a moment, and a day. Made by hand. Given with care.
See our collectionsPetal & Prose began on a kitchen table — a bucket of dahlias from the farmers market, a pair of scissors, and a feeling that this was exactly what I was meant to be doing. That was four years ago.
Today I work from a small studio on Montevallo Road, sourcing from local growers when the season allows and from trusted importers when it doesn't. Every arrangement is made by my own hands. Every order receives the same attention whether it is a single stem in a bud vase or the flowers for a wedding of two hundred.
I believe flowers are one of the most honest forms of care — chosen for another person, arranged with thought, and given without need for explanation. I take that seriously.
Each collection is a loose family of arrangements united by colour, season, or feeling. I work within them but never strictly — every order leaves room for what is most beautiful that day.
I work across a wide range of occasions — from an arrangement left quietly on a doorstep to a full wedding installation. Each is given the same care.
Tell me about your occasionWhat arrives in the studio each week is guided entirely by the season. Right now we are deep in ranunculus, hellebore, sweet pea, and the first garden roses of the year. It is, without question, my favourite time.
Seasonal working means no two arrangements are ever exactly the same — and that some of the most beautiful flowers available only come around once a year. I always tell clients: order now.
Order a seasonal arrangementOrdering flowers should feel as easy and pleasant as receiving them. Here is how I work — no forms to navigate, no complexity, no surprises.
"The arrangement Catherine made for our dinner party was the most remarked-upon thing on the table. Three guests asked for her card before the evening ended. She has a completely different eye to any florist I have used before."
"My bridal bouquet was beyond anything I had shown her in photographs. She listened to what I said — and then went further. I have kept it pressed and framed. She understood the day before I had finished describing it."
"I have a weekly subscription and it is the loveliest small luxury in my life right now. Whatever arrives on my doorstep on Tuesday morning tells me what season we are in. I have learned more about flowers in six months than in the previous forty years."
I work with a small number of orders each week to ensure every arrangement receives the time it deserves. Do get in touch early for weddings, events, or large orders.
I read and respond to every enquiry personally — usually the same day.
I'll reply personally within a few hours during studio hours. For urgent orders, please call. All enquiries are handled with complete discretion.
